GENERAL CONDITIONS – COURS PROTECT
« Cours Protect » insurance is available for people who have bought lessons at the ESS Leysin. It covers the lessons in the case of illness, accident or when the lessons cannot take place due to a total closing of the ski resort.

1.Insurers
The insurance is the ESS Leysin who provides insurance under the brand « Cours Protect ».

2. Policyholder
The policyholder is a person having bought or having lessons with ESS Leysin and having applied
for the insurance « Cours Protect ».
​
3. Insured services
« Cours Protect » only insures the lessons booked or bought from the ESS Leysin.
​
4. Insurance fee
CHF 5.- per day and per person.
​
5. Period of insurance coverage
The insurance is valid from the purchase day and more exactly for the duration of the lessons bought from ESS Leysin.
Only the insured person’s lessons will be covered by « Cours Protect ».

6. Object of the contract
The insurer guarantees the refund, or replacement of the missed lessons, according to the below mentioned insurance conditions.

7. Insurance conditions
« Cours Protect » will insure the above mentioned services in the following situations :
-Cancelled or modified lessons more than 48 hours before the start of the lesson without justification.
-Cancelled courses less than 48 hours before the start of the lesson in the following cases:
a. In the case of an accident of the covered person, by presenting a medical certificate issued during the period of validity of the insurance.
b. In the case of an illness of the covered person, by presenting a medical certificate issued during the period of validity of the insurance.
c. In the case of a total closing of the ski resort.
d. In the case of Covid-19 specificities

8. Refund
The refund or the replacement of the lessons is to be directly asserted from the main office of ESS Leysin during the stay of the covered person in Leysin. Only in the case an illness or an accident does not allow the covered person or his relatives to go to the main office will be sorted out later per post or e-mail.

9. Legal basis
The present contract is submitted to the Swiss law. Provisions of federal law on the insurance contracts (LCA) and the Swiss bond (CO) are besides applicable.

10. Covers’ exclusions
Any other situation that those mentioned under the point 7.
