Regulations

  • ESS Leysin declines all responsibility in case of accidents.

  • Lift passes are not included in the course price. (Children under 6 years old: free).

  • The meeting place and course schedule must be respected.

  • For group activities, the instructor is not obliged to wait for latecomers. For private lessons, the instructor is not required to extend the duration of the lesson to make up for late arrivals.

For group lessons:

  • If the student’s technical level, upon arrival, does not match the chosen course level, ESS Leysin reserves the right to transfer the student to a more suitable course level, subject to availability.

  • During low attendance periods, two levels or age groups may be combined. Group lessons with fewer than 4 participants will be reduced by 1 hour per day. To make groups as homogeneous as possible, the maximum number of students per group may occasionally exceed the announced limit. These adjustments do not entitle participants to refunds or compensation.

  • The course duration includes travel and waiting time at ski lifts.

  • Group lessons are conducted in French and/or English.

  • Wearing a helmet is strongly recommended for children. Equipment must be suitable for skiing: warm clothing, ski goggles, gloves, and sunscreen. (For freestyle courses: helmets and back protectors are mandatory).

Changes / Cancellations / Refunds

  • Lessons take place regardless of the weather, and weather conditions are not grounds for cancellation or rescheduling as long as the activity is conducted by ESS Leysin. No refunds, rescheduling, or compensation will be provided.

  • For group and private lessons, course reservations can be modified based on availability at least 24 hours in advance.

  • Any lesson cancellation will be fully refunded if made at least 48 hours in advance. Otherwise, the full amount will remain due or non-refundable.

  • A lesson will not be refunded or exchanged due to the client’s absence or tardiness.

  • In case of a complete closure of the ski lifts, replacement options will be offered. Refunds will not be provided without the "Course Protect" insurance.

Rental Terms

  • The renter must pay for their rentals and deposits in advance or provide enough security.

  • The client is responsible for lost, stolen, or broken items. These risks can be covered by paying 10% of the rental amount. Replacement equipment is not insured.

  • The rental duration is a minimum of one day.

  • The store declines all responsibility for accidents involving rented equipment.

  • Any repairs due to normal wear and tear will be covered by the sports store. For damage caused by misuse (e.g., skiing on roads or gravel), the responsible party will pay for the repairs and the replacement value of the equipment.
